Spike
the Echidna decided to go for a walk around Secret Gully. He met
Misty the Glider who was sitting up in a tree. "The creek
is very beautiful today" said Misty. "I saw it from
the top of the tree."
So Spike decided
to visit the creek. He climbed up onto the smooth rocks and began
to walk towards the water. It was a very good day for walking. The
sun was shining and the sky was clear and blue.
Spike soon
reached the edge of the creek and stopped to look at the view. The
water was shiny as it tumbled over the rocks into a deep pool. "I'd
like to get closer to the water," thought Spike.
He climbed
down to the waters edge, where he met Floppy the Bilby. They sat
for a long while in the warm sunshine looking at the water trickling
past. "I'm glad I came for a walk," said Spike. "Me
too," said Floppy.
